Perched on the northern curve of nha trang beach, Do Theater is Vietnam’s first purpose-built bamboo “basket” theater. Its resident show Life Puppets meshes water-puppet heritage with 360° mapping, making it one of the freshest things to do in nha trang after dark.
Designed by VO Trong Nghia Architects and opened in 2023, the exterior imitates a giant woven đó fish trap—paying homage to coastal craft while filtering sea breeze through 3 000 bamboo poles. The elliptical atrium doubles as a lantern at night, visible from miles down the beach in Vietnam.

A dreamy night inside the basket-shaped Do Theater! The décor is stunning and the ‘Life Puppets’ show blew our minds— folk tales remixed with lasers, EDM beats and gravity-defying puppetry. ✨ BUT a word of warning: holiday crowds (30 Apr–1 May) were insane; the tunnel entrance became a human conveyor belt and we finally grabbed a Grab. Next time we’ll book tickets + shuttle at least 24 hours ahead and visit on a quiet weekday. Still, for families, friends or anyone hunting unique things to see in nha trang, it’s totally worth the price.
